Kev's Pictures
Florence, Summer 2001

These are some of my pictures from my trip to Florence this summer. I hope you like them! Click the small images for a larger version.

Our fearless, but often very worried-looking, leader, Alessandro Gentili
One of the many sculptures in the Sante Croce cathedral. This church goes by many similar names.
This is the cathedral in Pisa. It's far more interesting, and much prettier, than that tower thing next door.
The sun setting over Florence, June 2001.
The southern bank of the Arno River, May 2001.
Lake Como - a wonderful break from the then-tourist-packed Florence in early July.
A good part of the class our second weekend in Italy, at our lunch break in Assisi.
Becca, Chris, Amelia, flowers, and a little help from photoshop. This is at Assisi, across the street from that little cafe with the hole-in-the-floor toilet we were all dying to use when we got there.
Lucia, Emily and Jenny demonstrate their shyness on that giant hill overlooking Assisi.
St. Peter's Basilica.. I went back there in July and never saw anything this dramatic. We were pretty lucky with our timing there.
The class hanging out by the Roman men's room in Fiesole.
The coliseum in Rome. Naturally, pictures really don't do it justice.

This was the view Jenny, Emily and I had the first night we were in Elba. Napoleon had it pretty good.

The flower market in Florence, the first Thursday we were there.
The Cathedral in the central piazza in Siena.

If you have any pictures you'd like to have put up here, PLEASE let me know! You can email me the files and/or notes, or just mail them to me and I'll scan and post them..
